The owner has two vacant lots on the island of St. John in the Virgin Island that will be developed into vacation homes. The homes will be a combination of prefabricated shipping containers built in Baltimore and traditional site-built construction. This will reduce construction cost and time. The shipping containers will provide spaces for four bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a kitchen and the pool. The site-built construction will tie all these spaces together to create one cohesive home. Sustainable features will be provided such as solar panels, insulation, and high insulated glazing.
